It is day two, and I already have to admit to missing goals. I ended up working late, and I never got in exercise yesterday. The reminds me clearly that unless fitness is scheduled into my life, I too easily let it slide.
My friend Rob brought up the AIDS Walk that we did a few years ago. That was an example of not being fully prepared. I did not bring food and water, and I started out too fast. I know that I can't even think of doing a 60 mile walk without all the right training in place. 4.5 months will pass so quickly, and every day counts in this effort.
I can almost picture Rawson shaking his head and saying "just do it every day. No questions, no need for motivation, no hesitating. Commit to every day and do it." Rawson has exercised every day for more than a decade, so he lives by what he says. I can't figure out why I haven't adopted that easy rule.
I will exercise today, before I leave work, and I won't try working until 11 pm like I did last night. The gym is open 24 hours a day, but I am not enthusiastic about exercising about working for more than 12 hours.
